Psychoeducational Testing

Psychoeducational testing is the way that psychologists investigate learning differences. Through carefully designed and reliable tests, we can determine if you have a disability or deficit that stands in the way of you reaching your full academic/professional potential.

We also use these tests to determine learning giftedness and disease processes that impact learning like Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and test anxiety.

Many people assume that psychoeducational testing is just for school-aged children. However, there are many adults who could use psychoeducational testing. Oftentimes college students (of varying ages) and working professionals find that they need testing because they are having trouble passing standardized tests (like the SAT, LSAT, MCAT, PRAXIS) or navigating parts of their professional lives.

  • Are you struggling in college or at work to keep up with demands?

  • Have you always felt one (or more) steps behind other students or peers?

  • Do you struggle to keep your attention focused on the lecture or work conversation?

  • Do you believe that your nervousness stands in your way of performing well on tests and work projects?

  • Have you tried different study techniques yet not seen a change in your grades/performance?

If the answer to any of these questions is "yes," then you may want to investigate psychoeducational testing.
